Two weeks to bring a Missed Connections post to life

In the tradition of The New History of Akron and Movie Mash-ups comes Missed Connections. Over the course of two weeks, make a short film that brings a Craigslist Missed Connections post to life. We’ll screen everyone’s films at the Akron Art Museum on Thursday, April 28th at 7pm. Here’s the sign-up form, but you can also just email your info. The kickoff orientation is Sunday, April 10th at 1pm.

To get in the mood, look at these illustrations by Sophie Blackall.

After watching the projects at a public wrap-up event on April 28th at 7:00pm, an independent panel plus an audience vote will determine a favorite, which will be announced later that evening. The winning team will receive $250 cash and their film will be screened again as part of the Akron Film Festival, taking place from October 6th to 9th, 2011 at the Akron Art Museum. Questions? Email .
