You’re Invited to CIA’s Spring Show

The Cleveland Institute of Art welcomes sculpture artists Dave Cole and Barbara Stanczak and says goodbye to the Cuba Project on one night in two exhibitions.

The Cuba Project: Works In Residence
Join CIA as it celebrates one of Cleveland’s most unique artists-in-residence programs during this final public event. This is the last opportunity to view the work of the Cuban artists, created during their seven-month residency at CIA. For more information about the Cuba Project visit cia.edu/cubaproject

The Art of Scale + Form
View a CIA-commissioned work by renowned conceptual artist Dave Cole as he converts a 13-ton drum soil compactor into an actual music box complete with oversized tuning pins playing the Star Spangled Banner. That same night experience former CIA faculty member Barbara Stanczak’s sculptural work which blurs the line between abstract and figural. For more information visit cia.edu/reinberger_galleries.

Both exhibitions run through May 19.

Scale + Form is made possible through the generosity of Ohio CAT, with additional support of The Louis D. Kacalieff Visiting Artists and Scholars Program, and Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.

Cleveland Institute of Art’s Cuba Project is made possible by generous support from the Cleveland Foundation, through its Creative Fusion initiative.
