Northeast Ohio arts organization is seeking candidates for its Executive Director position. This is full-time position that oversees the administration of a vibrant arts center and its staff. This arts organization is well established in the community, offering more than 400 classes in several media to students of all ages and presents five gallery exhibitions each year. The center is looking for a candidate with a passion for the arts and experience in financial management, community outreach, fundraising, education, marketing, membership development and management of the center’s facilities.
Candidates should possess a minimum of seven years of experience with an arts association/organization or similar entity and a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field. Other job requirements include demonstrating excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office and database software. Candidates must be comfortable working under pressure and under fluctuating priorities and deadlines, as well as the ability to remain flexible and modify tactics to match changing strategies and situations. Finally, the executive director will need to easily and professionally interact with a variety of individuals, both inside and outside the center.
