Regional public radio station joining creative partnership, giving voice, and video to musicians throughout northeast Ohio.

WAPS, 91.3FM Akron/Canton, and WKTL, 90.7FM Youngstown/Warren -“The Summit”, are sharing creative resources with video production company, Wasted Talent Media aimed at showcasing local and regional musicians.

Erin Ludlam and todd v of Wasted Talent Media has been developing the indie BOX web series for a couple of years. Now that the two have been producing The Summit’s In-Studio performances, it only seemed natural to bring the two concepts together into a singular vision, the all new Summit indie BOX.

“Wasted Talent Media have under-promised, and over-delivered on the recording and editing of our station member in-studio performances. Erin and todd have created a permanent, high-quality video archive,” said Summit general manager and executive director Tommy Bruno, “and now through Summit indie BOX the spotlight shifts to our talented regional musicians. It’s a big win for our creative community”

The series format is simple. A concise 60-90 second interview with the artists, and then a single acoustic performance for a short 5-6 minute program you can watch on your smart TV or on your mobile devices. “It’s a great way to get to know the up and coming acts in our region” Says co-producer Erin Ludlam. The regional artists selected to appear on the program are heard daily on the radio station.

“I just love live local music” adds co-producer todd v, “it’s been a blast making the series over the last couple of years, but I am excited to be able to showcase these artists on a larger platform by working with The Summit.”

The first episodes with be hitting the web in November. For more information please contact todd v at
